Daily contest
The same problem for everyone every day, easy to hard by weekday. Time to Accepted plus penalties ranks the day; points build monthly and all-time ladders.
How does the CodeKairo daily contest work?
Every UTC day — 05:30 in India — one problem is set for everyone: easy on Monday and Wednesday, medium on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, hard at the weekend, never repeated within a year. The day's board ranks by your time from opening the problem to Accepted plus five minutes for each wrong submission before it; a compile error costs nothing. A solve scores 3, 4 or 5 points on the contest's own ladder with monthly and all-time standings, and when the day closes it pays 20 XP — 35 to the day's fastest solver and 30 to the second. Consecutive days build a contest streak separate from your solving streak. A problem you solved earlier still has to be submitted again on the day. Free on every plan.
How it works
- Open today's problem. The same one for everyone, with the day's difficulty set by the weekday. The clock starts when you open it — not when the day did.
- Solve it on the clock. Run as often as you like; every wrong submission adds five minutes to your time. Accepted stops the clock.
- See where you placed. The day's board ranks by time plus penalties, ties to whoever finished first. Monthly and all-time ladders add the day's 3, 4 or 5 points, and at midnight UTC every solver is paid 20 XP — the fastest two 15 and 10 more.
- Keep the streak. The calendar marks every day solved, attempted or missed. Consecutive solves build a contest streak of their own, next to the solving streak the problem's XP already feeds.
Who it is for
Anyone who solves more when the problem is chosen for them and the clock is visible. Ten minutes a day on the same problem as everyone else, and a ladder that shows exactly where those ten minutes put you.
